Obituary of Judy Carole Waldo Terry

Judy Carole Waldo Terry, a Christian and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, was welcomed to her eternal home by her best friend Jesus on October 25, 2021 at her home in Shoreline, Washington, surrounded by family and enveloped in love. Judy was born to Julian and Julia Waldo on December 3, 1945. She grew up in Groves, TX and graduated from Port Neches public schools and Lamar University in Texas. She was a gifted teacher of math and Bible stories. In 1971, Judy married Bob Terry and over the years the couple welcomed three wonderful daughters: Ellen, Lauren, and Allison. In recent years, three grandchildren — Madeleine, Zoe, and Henry — added immeasurably to the family’s joy. The Scriptures say, “Who can find a virtuous woman – for her price is far above rubies.” Judy qualifies: she loved and was faithful to the Lord; her character was unimpeachable; she was wise, honorable, trustworthy, and loyal. She loved and was loved by many. She was joyful. She was respected, strong, determined, and unafraid to do what was right. She brought excitement, joy, and laughter to her family and friends and blessed her family and friends with unconditional love and unfailing care. Judy passed as she lived: with joy and thanksgiving in her heart, and with grace, dignity, peace, and love for the Lord and for family and friends. Thanks Be to God — Judy now rejoices with Jesus and her beloved mother and father, her sister Adelia, her brother Junior, and other family members and friends who have gone before. Grieving Judy’s passing with hearts aching, while eternally grateful to the Lord for her life and love, are her husband of 50 years, Bob; daughters Ellen (Joe), Lauren, and Allison; and grandchildren Madeleine, Zoe, and Henry. Other surviving and loving family members include: sisters Loretta Morman, Juanna Ward (Robert), Naomi Dean (Jim), and brother Paul Waldo (Patty), and many nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), a nonprofit organization that offered support to Judy and her family during her three-year journey with cancer.
